Brand USA has confirmed its presence at TTG Travel Experience 2018, demonstrating the importance of the Italian market for US tourism. The fourth largest inbound market in Europe, Italy is just behind the UK, Germany and France, and according to the first indications from 2017 figures, posted growth of 4% compared with the previous year.

Worldwide, the Italian market is in 12th position, with revenues exceeding USD 4 billion.

The latest data published by NTTO (National Travel and Tourism Office) show that the US remains one of the most popular long-haul destinations among Italian tourists, with New York again taking the largest number of arrivals with 46%. Combined with New Jersey, the city has a 42% market share. Florida and California come next, both with 21% of traffic, Nevada is on 11%, Massachusetts and Arizona 6%, and the gateways of Los Angeles and Chicago on 8% and 5% respectively.

The destination is confident about the future, also given projections according to which it will welcome 88 million arrivals by end-2019, corresponding to an increase of total flows of between 3.3% and 5.9% a year. At TTG Travel Experience, the Brand USA stand will host numerous American exhibitors interested in strengthening their relations with the Italian market.
